Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Boost your account security by setting up two-factor authentication

Updated over 2 months ago

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security system that protects your account. With 2FA enabled, you must enter both your login code (sent to your email) and a code generated by an authentication app to access your Doto account.

How to enable 2FA?

Follow these steps to enable two-factor authentication on your account:

  • Log in to your Doto profile settings.

  • Select Two-factor authentication.

  • Click Enable 2FA.

  • To verify your email, click Send code. A 6-digit code will be sent to your email. Enter it on the platform.

  • Scan the QR code displayed on the screen using your authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator).

  • Enter the security code generated by the app on the platform.

  • Click on "Confirm".

💡 Important: When you activate 2FA, you will receive 10 recovery codes. These codes are essential to access your account if you lose access to the authentication application. Keep them somewhere safe!

How to disable 2FA with recovery codes?

If you need to disable two-factor authentication, follow these steps:

  • Log in to your Doto account using one of your recovery codes.

  • Go to Two-factor authentication settings.

  • Disable authentication by entering another recovery code

💡Important: If you have lost your recovery codes or have less than two codes available, you can deactivate 2FA by contacting Doto support at [email protected].

🔑 Activating 2FA is one of the best ways to protect and keep your account secure. Be sure to complete this process to improve the security of your information!
